Part-time work rules
International students in Singapore can work up to 16 hours per week during term time and full-time during vacations. This applies only to students from approved institutions (IHLs). No separate work permit is required if you hold a valid Student’s Pass. Work must not interfere with academic progress.
Post-Study Work Visa
Graduates from approved IHLs can apply for a one-year Long-Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) to search for jobs. Once employed, the employer must sponsor an Employment Pass (EP) or S Pass. The EP is typically for professionals earning SGD 5,000+ per month, while the S Pass is for mid-level technical staff.
