Part-Time Work Rules

International students in Ireland with Stamp 2 immigration permission can work up to 20 hours per week during term time. During official holiday periods (June-September and December 15-January 15), students can work up to 40 hours per week (full-time). Students must have a valid work permit (GNIB/IRP card) and PPS number to work legally in Ireland.

Post-Study Work Visa

The Third Level Graduate Programme (Stay Back Visa) allows international graduates to remain in Ireland and work for up to 2 years after completing a Level 9 (Master’s) qualification. During this period, graduates have full work rights and can seek employment with any employer. Ireland’s booming tech sector (Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple all have European HQs here) offers excellent career opportunities.
