Part-time work rules
International students in France are legally allowed to work up to 964 hours per year, which equates to roughly 20 hours per week (60% of full-time). All students are guaranteed the national minimum wage (SMIC), which is approximately €11.65 per hour. No special authorization is required for VLS-TS holders.
Post-Study Work Visa
Indian students graduating with a Master's degree in France are eligible for a 2-year 'Job Search/Business Creation' (RECE) visa. This allows graduates to stay and look for a job or start a business. France also has a special agreement with India allowing Indian alumni to receive 5-year short-stay Schengen visas.
