Part-time work rules

International students (D-2 visa) can work part-time after 6 months of stay. The limit is usually 20 hours per week during semesters (recently increased to 25-30 for some technical majors) and unlimited during vacations. A TOPIK score (Korean proficiency) often allows for higher weekly hour limits.

Post-Study Work Visa

Graduates can apply for the D-10 Job Seeker Visa, which allows a stay of 6 months to 2 years (renewed every 6 months). Eligibility is based on a point system considering age, GPA, and Korean language skills. Transitioning to an E-7 work visa is common after finding professional employment.
