Part-time work rules

Non-EU students can work up to 16 hours per week during the academic year OR full-time during June, July, and August. The employer must apply for a work permit (TWV) on behalf of the student, which is usually a formality but takes a few weeks to process.

Post-Study Work Visa

The Netherlands offers an 'Orientation Year' (Zoekjaar) visa for graduates of top 200 global universities or Dutch universities. It allows graduates 1 year to find work as a 'highly skilled migrant.' During this year, graduates have unrestricted access to the labor market (no work permit needed).
